Jill Thurber, PhD (Dr. Jill as her clients call her) is a Child and Adolescent Psychologist who obtained her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Jill completed her residency in child and pediatric psychology at the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles before graduating with her Ph.D. She then went on to complete a fellowship in child and pediatric psychology at the APA accredited program at The Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Jill uses a relationship-based approach when working with her clients. This means that she integrates tenets from psychodynamic and attachment-based theories when conceptualizing treatment. Dr. Jill uses therapeutic tools which are found to be the most effective for the unique presenting problem. These therapeutic tools often include cognitive-behavioral therapy, parent coaching, and psychoeducation.
